Do you have a passion for Hair and Beauty and love sharing your skills with others? We’re looking for a creative, organised, and enthusiastic team member to help inspire the next generation of stylists, barbers, and beauty professionals at EKC Folkestone College.

In this role, you will:

• Bring your salon expertise to life by supporting students in developing their technical skills and confidence.

• Demonstrate professional hair and beauty techniques to enhance lessons and help learners reach their full potential.

• Create an inspiring learning environment that mirrors the buzz of a real salon — fun, professional, and supportive.

• Work closely with young people, encouraging them to achieve success and shine in their chosen careers.

• Use your industry knowledge to ensure sessions reflect current trends and professional standards.

• Maintain top-tier Health & Safety standards, ensuring all practical activities are carried out safely and effectively.

• Order and organise salon products and materials — keeping everything stocked, spotless, and ready for action.

As a designated establishment, we are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore have an obligation to carry out checks to ensure that staff are suitable to work with children and vulnerable adults. These checks include conviction/caution self-declaration, Enhanced DBS check and obtaining sufficient referencing.
