Our supply workers are employed on a short-term basis, providing teaching or supporting the business. They collaborate with and receive support from our core team.
Once approved as one of our supply bank workers, you can receive work at any of our sites and the flexibility of supply work means you can decide on what placements to take on.
Supply placements last up-to 8 weeks at a time. Anything more than this, and we’ll advertise a temporary contact which can be applied for.
We support, teach, train and asses a range of subjects, plus we have service support positions. You can see all our current supply roles here.
Here are a few examples:
- Trades Teaching: Engineering, Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, Gas
- Lecturer: Maths, English, Computing, Science, Foundation Learning, ESOL, Health and Social Care, Business, Early Years, Hair and Beauty, Catering
- Other: Invigilating, Refectory and Café, Hotel, Admin, Nursery, Estates
To apply, you’ll need to complete the standard application process, just like any other advertised role within our Group. If there are no current vacancies in your specialist area, we encourage you to register for our talent pool. This way, you’ll be notified when relevant opportunities become available.
Once you have been interviewed and all pre-employment checks are completed, you will be added to our supply pool. When a suitable opportunity arises, a recruiting manager will contact you to discuss the role.
Ad-hoc supply workers are paid one month in arrears once your hours are submitted and authorised. For example, hours worked in October are paid in November.
The pay deadline is around the 10th of each month for authorised submissions. Payments are then processed on the 25th of the month.
We have a dedicated Payroll Team who can support this process.
Supply work is ideal for those starting a teaching career, seeking a better work-life balance, or exploring part-time opportunities. Many of our permanent staff began as supply workers and, like them, you will be able to apply for internal vacancies.
This is a great way to get to know us as an organisation before taking the next step and applying for a permanent role with us.
