Are you passionate about electrical engineering and excited by the opportunity to help shape the next generation of skilled professionals? EKC Training is looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Apprenticeship Trainer to join our team at our largest campus in the vibrant city of Canterbury.

This is more than a training role — it’s an opportunity to ignite potential, share your industry expertise and make a lasting impact on the careers of aspiring electricians.

As an Apprenticeship Trainer, you’ll play a key role in supporting apprentices throughout their journey, helping them build the practical skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed. You’ll assess and support apprentices across a variety of environments, working closely with employers and learners to ensure they make timely progress and achieve their apprenticeship goals.

You’ll also contribute to Internal Quality Assurance, helping us maintain the high standards of training and assessment that our apprentices and employers expect.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting and assessing apprentices across a range of learning and workplace environments.

  • Working with apprentices and employers to ensure progress towards successful and timely completion.

  • Providing assessment guidance, reviews and support through drop-in sessions, telephone and email contact.

  • Adapting your approach to ensure training and assessment are delivered in the most effective way for each apprentice and employer.

  • Building positive relationships with apprentices, employers and colleagues.

  • Contributing to Internal Quality Assurance activities where required.

About You

Are you an experienced assessor who enjoys helping people develop their skills and achieve their potential? We’re looking for a highly organised and capable professional who can bring experience, enthusiasm and a strong focus on quality to our team.

You will:

  • Hold, or be willing to work towards, an Assessor qualification such as D32/D33, A1 or the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
  • Hold, or be willing to work towards, an Internal Verifier qualification such as D34, V1 or the Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
  • Have experience of supporting training, assessment and development across a variety of contexts.
  • Be confident setting and achieving challenging improvement targets, with a proven track record of delivering positive outcomes.
  • Be highly organised, with the ability to manage priorities and maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Bring a supportive and collaborative approach, working effectively with colleagues and learners to achieve shared goals.
