EKC Group is looking for a motivated and student-focused Careers and Progression Officer to join the team at EKC Sheppey College. If you’re passionate about helping people discover their potential and take the next step in their journey, this could be the perfect opportunity.

In this rewarding role, you’ll deliver a personalised careers and progression service that empowers students to make informed decisions about their futures. Through tailored information, advice, guidance and careers education, you’ll help learners explore their options and build the confidence to achieve their goals.

Working closely with students and colleagues, you’ll support progression into further study within the College, higher education, employment, apprenticeships, partner organisations or self-employment, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to succeed. 

Weeks per year: 42
Hours per week: 18.5
Salary per year: £13,945 (inc holiday pay)

About You

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a background in careers guidance who is passionate about inspiring young people and adults to achieve their ambitions through high-quality careers education and support.

You’ll be a creative thinker with the ability to design and deliver engaging careers sessions that equip students with the knowledge, confidence and skills to make informed decisions about their future. Through your guidance, you’ll help learners progress towards positive academic and employment outcomes.

You will hold a Level 6 Information, Advice and Guidance qualification, or be willing to work towards achieving it. A strong understanding of careers education and guidance within a Further Education setting is essential, along with the confidence to deliver presentations and interactive group sessions to a wide range of audiences.
