About The Role

Keep the college running smoothly from the heart of our brand-new Bench Street campus - where great administration makes a real difference every day.
 
Based at our brand-new Bench Street campus, part of EKC Dover College, you'll play a vital role in delivering efficient and professional administrative support as a College Services Assistant. Working as part of the College Support Services team, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the campus while providing excellent service to students, staff and visitors.

In this varied role, you'll support key administrative processes including enrolments, applications, examinations and enquiries, maintaining accurate records across our corporate data systems. You'll also contribute to the operation of the Service Help Desk by monitoring and allocating logged jobs, liaising with relevant support teams, and coordinating pool vehicle bookings to keep services running effectively.

Hours per week: 22.5
Working pattern: Mon-Wed 1pm-5pm, Thurs 1pm-4.30pm, Fri 08.30 to 4.30pm
Salary per year: £15,897

About You

We are looking for an organised and customer-focused College Services Assistant to join our team. Based at the reception area of our new Bench Street provision, you'll play a central role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the College. This is a varied position where no two days are the same, requiring you to balance administrative tasks with answering calls, welcoming visitors and responding to enquiries from students, staff and external stakeholders.

You'll thrive in a busy environment, have excellent attention to detail and be confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a professional and friendly first point of contact at reception.
  • Processing curriculum applications for upcoming academic years and current short courses.
  • Supporting student enrolment and maintaining accurate student records.
  • Assisting with timetabling and examination administration.
  • Responding to enquiries from students, colleagues and external partners.
  • Carrying out a range of administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the College.
  • Working accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across departments to deliver an excellent student experience.
