What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive and innovative teaching, learning and assessment.

  • Support, guide and inspire students to achieve their full potential.

  • Lead and coordinate your delivery team, ensuring all learners receive up-to-date and consistent course information.

  • Shape and develop a curriculum that meets local and regional skills needs, in collaboration with department leadership.

  • Design course activities, resources and handbooks that promote clear understanding of objectives, assessment criteria and progression routes.

As Programme Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our students are fully equipped for success - whether progressing to higher education or entering the workforce.

Salary: £25,425 up to £26,823

About You

As a Programme Director, you’ll combine your creativity and organisation to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons that bring your subject to life. You’ll take pride in supporting every student to reach their full potential; tracking progress, planning interventions, and ensuring no learner is left behind.

Beyond the classroom, you’ll provide academic leadership and guidance, shaping the direction of the curriculum and maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment. This is your chance to make a real impact, both on your students and the future of your subject area.

This role is ideal for a qualified teacher or lecturer who’s looking to progress into a senior position. You’ll have the opportunity to design and oversee curriculum provision, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation.

Please note that there are two salary scale points for our Programme Director positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Employees can move up the salary scale once you have worked as a Programme Director for our group for one entire academic year, subject to approval. Therefore, internal applicants may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification.
