We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning and Skills Coach to join our team at EKC Sheppey College.

In this rewarding role, you’ll plan and deliver inspiring small-group and one-to-one sessions, helping learners develop essential skills, build confidence, and gain independence for their future careers.

What does a typical day look like?
  • Supporting learners in a wide range of activities, including digital, study, maths, and English skills

  • Providing tailored one-to-one and group support to help learners reach their goals

  • Planning and organising engaging small-group sessions

  • Leading interactive and motivating learning activities

Important Details:
Hours per week: 15.5
Weeks per year: 38 (during term time)
Salary: £10,580 including holiday pay

As a Learning and Skills Coach, you’ll play a key part in empowering learners to achieve their best. Using a range of tools and strategies, you’ll identify individual needs and create effective support plans to help every learner thrive — both in college and beyond.

About You

You will be highly organised, creative and be able to plan engaging and innovative sessions with demonstrated interpersonal skills. You will assess and track learners progress ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.

Ideally you will have vocational experience and be passionate about making a difference to the future careers of our students, providing academic and pastoral support
