About The Role

Please note this role is for 11 hours per week with a salary of £7,673.
 
A unique opportunity has arisen to work in our vibrant and thriving Visual Art Department as a Ceramics Skills Practitioner at Canterbury College. As a Ceramics Skills Practitioner you will provide learning and technical support to staff and students within the Division. and undertake assessment and quality assurance duties as required by the College and awarding bodies.
 

In your role as a Skills Practitioner you will liaise with internal and external customers/stakeholders as necessary or required. You will also provide feedback to students that will aid successful progression and achievement.

About You

The successful candidate will be highly knowledgeable and proficient in all ceramics techniques and processes, glazes, using kilns and all other aspect of this profession. You will demonstrate your passion for ceramics, drawn from a practice in it out of education.

We are seeking to appoint an organised and efficient member to our team who has excellent communication skills and can facilitate learners on tasks. You will also provide demonstrations as required in class to aid the delivery of outstanding provision within EKC Group.

You will have recent industrial experience in a relevant area, and ideally will have experience of education or training in the workplace. you will be able to work with young people to achieve and succeed their full potential aligned with the culture and ethos of the Group.

The successful candidate will have a key responsibility for instilling and upholding strong Health & Safety standards in practical environments, and will be responsible for purchasing resources and materials within budget.
