It can be daunting to start thinking about starting a career after university.
But it doesn't have to be.
You've likely dreamt about a career where you can use your knowledge in your chosen field, but the job market is often looking for years of experience even in entry positions.
Time to turn your eyes to a career in education where you'll contribute to the community, supporting young people in Colleges to train in their chosen field. What's more, we'll train you how to teach in the role, whilst you earn - if teaching is the avenue you choose to go down.
As we continue to support the communities local to our sites (Ashford, Broadstairs, Canterbury, Dover, Folkestone, Sheppey + more localised business units), our Graduate Scheme will facilitate you in starting your career in Further Education.
We offer five different Graduate Schemes:
1. Lecturer
2. A-Level Teacher
3. Service Management
4. Apprenticeship Trainer
5. Speech and Language Therapist
We'll fully fund your teacher or assessor training alongside your work, so there's no need to worry about any further student loans. With our Lecturing, Trainer and A-Level teaching positions, you can select your subject or industry specialism, and within your registration, you can choose more than one depending on your skills and experience.
Our Service Management and Speech and Language Therapist Graduate Schemes will not be subject specific but looking at those interested in support, administration, management and SALT areas within the education sector. When considering Speech and Language Therapy, we will be looking for those who have studied this specifically.
Its an incredible opportunity to secure a Graduate position, and one which you will also receive all the relevant benefits our staff do.
- Competitive holiday entitlement.
- Store, retail, restaurant, grocery, and gym discounts.
- Cycle to work, car leasing and technology purchasing schemes.
- Opportunity to progress, train and develop where 1/4 of our roles are appointed internally.
- Laptop and equipment provided.
- My 10 days – bid for up-to 10 days off to pursue volunteering.
- Be part of our Eco pledge to be Net-Zero.
Registrations can start immediately and the scheme gives candidates a chance to impart their newly gained skills to the next generation through teaching and assessing. Remember, you'll receive FREE Teacher and Assessor Qualifications worth thousands of pounds.
Most importantly, you’ll gain industry experience with one of our partner organisations in your chosen sector. Specialists from our partner organisations are not only willing to offer placements to enhance your experience for future opportunities, but insist that holding Teacher and Assessor Qualifications gives an advantage to candidates entering the sectors. These qualifications are fully funded and included within the EKCG Graduate Scheme.
