About The Role

EKC Group is seeking a Group Head of Education Improvement to join the group.   As the Group Head you will be supporting the college and business unit senior leadership teams in continual improvement in the quality of teaching, learning and assessment. 

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Supporting Colleges Senior Leaders and Curriculum Managers with the continuous improvement in teaching, learning and assessment across the EKC Group.
  • Leading the Education Improvement team in the design and delivery of Professional Development for inclusive teaching and learning pedagogy.
  • The line management of the Education Improvement team.
  • The collation and interpretation of quality and performance data and the preparation of reports.
  • Supporting the development of Policy, compliance, and strategic Education recommendations.

About You

You should have experience of being a values-driven education leader with a proven track record of improving teaching, learning and assessment within further education and  familiar with 14-16 Direct Entry provisions. You will bring a strong knowledge of education policy, pedagogy and inclusive practice, alongside the ability to use evidence based data and evaluation to inform improvement and demonstrate impact.

You will need to be highly organised and able to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders, you will be confident working with senior leaders, influencing change, leading projects and translating strategic priorities into effective practice across the Groups colleges and business units.

You will have excellent written and oral communication, IT and analytical skills, with the ability to produce clear evaluative reports and recommendations that inform decision-making.

You will also be able to motivate, coach and develop teams, supporting colleagues to improve practice and deliver high-quality outcomes for learners.
