Exciting new opportunities have arisen at EKC Group, for Senior Nursery Practitioners to support the Nursery Managers at EKC Folkestone and at EKC Canterbury working in a team in our early years’ nurseries.  Please indicate which Nursery you would prefer to work in your application.

As a Senior Nursery Practitioner, you'll play a key leadership role in creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where children can learn, grow and thrive. Working closely with the Nursery Leadership Team, you'll support and motivate colleagues, lead your base room to the highest standards and help deliver outstanding care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

You'll combine hands-on practice with leadership responsibilities, overseeing children's learning and development, building strong partnerships with families, supporting safeguarding and contributing to the continuous improvement of the nursery. You'll also have the opportunity to take ownership of specialist areas such as SEND, wellbeing, parent partnership or health and safety, helping to shape the future of our provision.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who is ready to step into a leadership role and make a lasting difference to children, families and colleagues alike.

About You

We're looking for passionate and experienced Early Years professionals who lead by example and are committed to delivering exceptional care and learning experiences for every child.

You'll hold a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification and have experience working in a nursery environment, including leading or supervising a team. Confident, organised and approachable, you'll be able to inspire colleagues, build positive relationships with children and families, and create engaging learning opportunities that support every child's individual development.

You'll have a strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and inclusive practice, excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement. Above all, you'll share our belief that every child deserves the very best start in life.
