As a Lecturer in Health & Social Care and Employability, you can bring creativity, organisation and energy to the classroom from level 1 to 3. You'll be delivering engaging lessons that support every learner. 

If you're already a teacher with a relevant qualification, we also have Programme Director responsibilities which could be offered to the suitable candidate and would attract a higher salary.

About You

What we’re looking for:

You will be highly organised and creative, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to assess and track student progress, using this information to plan effective interventions that help every learner develop the skills they need to succeed.

  • Ideally, some experience of teaching or workplace training, although this isn’t essential, as full training will be provided.

  • positive, empathetic outlook, with a commitment to supporting learners.

  • Confidence in managing a classroom and creating a positive learning environment.

Please note that there are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Lecturers will normally move up to the highest salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete. (Lecturers must be in post by 1st September in any given year to qualify and this is subject to approval). Therefore, internal applicants in the same role may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification
