About The Role

**Please note that this is a temporary role for 6 months**
 
We are seeking a Group Housekeeping Manager to play a key role in delivering exceptional service standards and ensuring the smooth daily operations of the housekeeping department.

In this role, you will guide and support a housekeeping team across six College sites in East Kent, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and coordinate housekeeping team leaders in daily operations.

  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation across all College sites.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits.

  • Manage the equipment and materials budget.

  • Facilitate recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development for team members.

  • Collaborate with College departments to coordinate housekeeping needs for events and guest services.

  • Maintain a safe working environment, including risk assessments and hazardous substance control.

With a department consisting of eight team leaders and 84 staff across six College sites, this is a hands-on role. You will work closely with the Deputy Director of Facilities and Estates to enhance operational efficiency.

About You

As a Group Housekeeping Manager you will:
 
  • Have strong team leadership skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Be a good communicator and have excellent organisational skills
  • Have a proactive approach and hands-on attitude
  • Be able to to motivate and manage a large team

Previous experience within in a educational setting or working across multiple sites is desirable
