Temporary and Supply Roles

Are you looking for flexible working arrangements because of your other responsibilities and interests? Then we are looking for you!

To respond to demand from the community and from employers we need flexible people looking for hourly-paid teaching and training roles who want to make a difference to our community in the following skills areas...

What is supply?

Our supply staff work on a short term basis. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff.

How do I apply?

To apply you must complete the application process the same as any other role advertised for the Group. If there are no advertised roles in your specialist area than please do register for our talent pool and you will be notified of any vacancies which meet your criteria.

When will I get paid?

For supply staff who work on an ad-hoc basis payment is made one month in arrears by timesheet, i.e. payment for hours in October are paid in November on receipt of a correctly completed timesheet authorised by your manager.

The payroll deadline is the 10th of the month and all timesheets must be authorised and submitted to Human Resources no later than this date. All authorised timesheets will then be paid on the 25th of that month.

If, however, a supply contract is for 8 weeks or more, this will be on a fixed term contractual basis, again paid one month in arrears on the 25th of the following month.

How will I be offered work?

Once you have been interviewed and all pre-employment checks are in place you will then be placed within the supply pool of staff available for temporary work. If we have an opportunity that meets your skill set the recruiting Manager will contact you to discuss the opportunity.

What progression opportunities are there?

Our Supply staff are people who take up teaching or support opportunities for a variety of reasons ranging from starting a career in teaching to achieving a better work-life balance through working flexibly or part-time. Many of our current permanent staff and managers started as Supply and just like them you will be given support and opportunities to progress.
