About The Role

Are you a Speech and Language Therapist looking for a hours that work around you?

We are open to discussing flexible hours for this position that fits around you, to give you the work-life balance you are looking for. 
 
We will consider hours up-to 18.5 per week which can be condensed and considered within Monday to Friday (within 8:30am-5.00pm). 
 
For 18.5 hours per week, the salary is pro rata at £22,999 per annum.

The role will involve:

  • carrying out assessments
  • delivering therapy
  • supervising support staff who deliver language and communication programmes
  • offering staff training
  • contributing to the EHCP process 
  • working with staff to support them to differentiate teaching and support

This is a Group role and will require visits to all our colleges across South East Kent, with a base of one of our colleges. Please note this role is a temporary position to 31st July 2025.

 
 
 

About You

You’ll have a minimum of four years’ experience of delivering speech therapy with experience of working with post 16 aged young people. 

You will also:

  • Have a recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy 
  • Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. 
  • Be a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists or eligible for membership.
  • Be a team player. 
  • Be flexible in meeting the challenges that can arise day-to-day in a Further Education environment.
  • Have an excellent understanding of safeguarding procedure and practice
