About The Role

**Please note that this is a temporary vacancy for 12 months**  

EKC Broadstairs College is seeking an Estates Assistant to join our early morning Team. As an Estates Assistant you will play a committed key role in the Estates team, providing Estates services across the College

In the role you will be responsible for carrying out the unlocking and opening up buildings with a start time of 05:00 and finish time of 13:30 depending on breaks. 

As examples you will be undertaking routine checks relating to
  • fire and intruder alarms.
  • emergency lighting.
  • heating & cooling systems.
  • buildings.
Additionally you will be supporting the College with:
  • minor repairs and maintenance.
  • portering.
  • setting up for events and activities. 
You will be a keyholder and part of the on-call team on call one week in every four.

About You

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious member to our team. The successful candidate will be able to work on your own or as part of a team, flexible in your approach to tasks and shift patterns and have effective organisation skills and ability to work under pressure

The ideal candidate will have experience and sound knowledge of fire alarm, emergency light, legionella,. testing and  be able to keep accurate records.

If you have experience of working in this field along with a passion for sharing your knowledge and expertise with the future generation this position will be ideal for you.

Whilst experience would be an advantage what is more important is your enthusiasm.
 
The successful candidate will need to live within 20 minutes of reaching the campus.
